Dr. Merlyn Hilda J PT is a rehabilitation professional with over 20 years of experience across physiotherapy, podiatry, pediatric rehabilitation and community-based care. An NDT-certified professional and WHO-trained trainer in Assistive Devices and Appropriate Wheelchairs, she is committed to strengthening accessible, person-centred rehabilitation through evidence-based practice, training and innovative approaches. As Lead – Self Generation and Caregiver Trainings at PACT INDIA, she works to strengthen quality rehabilitation services and caregiver capacity.
At PACT INDIA, Dr. Merlyn has contributed to the development of caregiver training modules, monitoring and evaluation systems, technology-enabled documentation, and rehabilitation programs for children in the OAS Programme. She has supported the screening of children across 46 Child Care Homes and played a key role in strengthening program systems and training initiatives. Her current focus is developing caregiver curricula with academic organizations and building community-based caregiver capacity to support children with disabilities.
