Merlyn is associated with many rural community-based rehabilitation projects in Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka for underprivileged people with disability, leprosy affected people and women with postnatal needs. She is a distinguished podiatrist, specialised in gait assessment and special footwear modifications. She is a visiting consultant to special schools that run special education and vocational training for CwSN.
